Who is this Shirley that Jesus is talking to? Is she a friend of Mary Magdalene? Is she Jesus’ wife or girlfriend? That’s how these heresies get started!
When Jesus left the earth, He left it a more spiritual place. No one accomplished more in 33 years than He—not even Alexander the Great. That is an established
historical fact. He transformed the entire world, and no other religious figure; not Moses, not Gandhi, not Buddha, neither Confucious nor Mohammed, comes close to His teachings on spiritual living. And He trained the Apostles to start the Church, the strongest religious organization the World has ever seen. And in the Church’s historical year, we are living in Easter! It is STILL Easter, and we are Easter people! We, too, are lifted up for a purpose.
I feel our church is more spiritual than when I came. But I do not feel all the Spiritual goals have been reached, that could be reached. But I do not think the Holy Spirit can use me any further here. But the congregation has a great sense of fellowship, and is poised to reach out to others. I think you will have a great future, if you continue to grow…
